Accepted BH license types in SC: LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist, MD/DO (Board Certified), PMHNP. State licensing board: South Carolina Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Psycho-Educational Specialists. Active state license and NPI required. SC uses LISW-CP (Licensed Independent Social Worker — Clinical Practice) for independent clinical social work. Social workers licensed by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners. Manages BH for Medicaid programs, employer groups, and military (TRICARE). Now owned by Molina Healthcare.
