How Optum Behavioral Health Credentialing Actually Works

Behavioral health routing: Optum Behavioral is UnitedHealthcare's behavioral network. All UHC behavioral credentialing lives here, separate from the medical network.
The stall to avoid: Filing a behavioral application in UHC's Onboard Pro instead of Provider Express is the number one stall: wrong queue, no error message, no progress. Solo clinicians who hit the network need gate should document the access gap they fill, including specialty, language, and geography.
