MS-DRG Lookup

Medicare Severity Diagnosis-Related Groups (MS-DRG) are how CMS pays hospitals for inpatient stays. Each DRG has a relative weight used to calculate payment. DRGs are organized into 26 Major Diagnostic Categories (MDCs) and classified as medical or surgical. Many have CC/MCC severity tiers. This tool uses CMS FY2026 MS-DRG v43.1 (effective April 1, 2026).
