Not published by the payer

ComPsych is an employee assistance program network, not an insurance payer: clinicians join through direct provider agreements with ComPsych rather than the CAQH payer credentialing rail.

Behavioral health routing: EAP sessions bill under the EAP agreement and authorization, separate from any insurance panel you also hold.

The stall to avoid: EAP network participation and insurance credentialing are different systems: an EAP agreement does not put you in any insurance network, and EAP sessions need the EAP authorization to pay.

From PayerReady's payer enrollment research, built from the payer's own provider manuals and enrollment pages. Payer processes change; when a fact is not published by the payer, we say so rather than guess.

Common questions about Compsych credentialing

How long does Compsych credentialing take?

Compsych credentialing typically takes 60–90 days from a complete submission to an approved effective date. Incomplete applications are the main cause of delay: a missing document or an unattested CAQH profile restarts the clock rather than pausing it.

Does Compsych require CAQH?

Yes. Compsych pulls provider data from CAQH ProView, so your profile must be complete, attested and shared with Compsych before the application can move. CAQH re-attestation runs on a 120-day cycle, and a lapsed attestation stalls both new enrollments and recredentialing.

Which states does Compsych operate in?

Compsych has credentialing operations in 51 states. 51 of those 51 currently show an open panel. Requirements are not uniform: local plan names, provider portals and state-specific conditions differ, which is what the state-by-state table above records.
